International Day Against Fascism and Antisemitism
Joint
campaign of anti-fascist, anti-racist, human rights, Roma and Jewish
organisations all over europe. On 9 November 1938, the 'Kristallnacht'
pogrom took place. This partly state-organised pogrom against German
Jews is often seen as the symbolic beginning of the Holocaust.
After World War II the Europeans decided that they would never let
anything like the Holocaust happen again. They stated: Never Again.
'Never Again' not only means no more Hitler and no more Holocaust, but
it also means to be aware of the underlying hatred, fear, prejudice,
discrimination and racism that was the driving force behind
National-Socialism.
For fascists and nazis, in 1938 and today, antisemitism is the main
medium of their fear and their hatred against another group of people.
We need to counter fascism and antisemitism in the context of our
increasingly connected and complicated societies. Fascists aim to
divide people into neatly defined categories of the 'good' and the
'evil'. But they cannot overcome a strong and united movement of
resistance. The fascists may spread division and fear, we spread unity
and hope.

Tents are to be placed in the main squares of each city (Paris, Berlin, Kiev and Warsaw) showing visitors Jewish culture, heritage, history and the importance of eradicating antisemitism. The event aims to get young people to talk to each other and encourage inter-cultural and inter-religious dialogue with open air classrooms, panel discussions, exhibitions, conferences, tours, sessions, meetings, and music.

"Train of Commemoration" - to Commemorate the
Deported Children from Western and Eastern Europe.
On November 8, 2007, the "Train of Commemoration" will start its
journey through Germany. This journey will begin at the Frankfurt
(State of Hesse) railway station and end at the Auschwitz Memorial
(Oswiecim/Poland), where the "Train of Commemoration" is scheduled to
commemorate the children murdered by the Nazi regime. The train, pulled
by a stream engine and including several wagons of exhibitions, will
take the route of the deportations carried out, at the time, by the
German Reichsbahn.
After the start in Frankfurt the "Train of Commemoration" is scheduled
to stop in Darmstadt (9.-13.11.), Mannheim (14.-17.11.), Karlsruhe
(18.-20.11.) , Ettlingen (21.11.), Vaihingen (22.11.), Stuttgart
(22.-24.11.), Tübingen (25.-27.11.) Further destinations:

"In Memorial to all Victims of Intolerance"
A march in Bratislava that starts by the Memorial of
Holocaust victims. There will be initial speeches of involved people
(ambassadors of Angola, Belgium, Slovenia, etc). Afterwards people will
put the candels into form of crossed swastika to create a big sign on
the floor. The march will continue to the memorial of extremist and
racial victims what was created at the place where young man Daniel
Tupy was killed by neo-Nazis on November 4th 2005. Daniel's father will
hold a speech at the commemoration where also candels will be laid down.

"Guernica Representation"
At high schools in Málaga and Sevilla (E). On the basis of the famous picture of Pablo Picasso students create a performance in which its symbolism is explained and related to with the whole process of the Holocaust. Focus will be to explain the dynamic of hate, how the extermination started with a hatred shout in the street, how the Jews were forced to live in the ghettos and then how they where exterminated. The Gernica is like a symbolic picture of any manifestation of intolerance with an universal message against intolerance.
