11.11.11 – Koepel van de Vlaamse Noord-Zuidbeweging

On November 11th 1966 at 11 am, thousands of volunteers took the streets to draw attention to the “Third World” and collect money. The European Remembrance Day for Peace after the First World War in 1918 got a new international dimension. That’s how 11.11.11 started. From that day on, every November 11th is the highlight of our financial and political campaign. 25.000 volunteers all over Flanders go from door to door asking for donations for our partners in the South. 320 local committees and more than 100 organisations are the basis of the Coalition of the Flemish North South Movement, formerly known as NCOS (National Centre of Development Co-operation).
